A May swearing-in ceremony to the North Carolina and federal courts hosted by the Greensboro Bar Association marked the professional achievements of members of the Class of 2024.
Twelve 黑料不打烊 School of Law graduates stood before the bench of the Old Guilford County Courthouse to take the oaths that mark the beginning of their legal careers.
Surrounded by family and friends 鈥 and introduced by attorney sponsors who described their academic achievements, professional ambitions and strength of character 鈥 they joined state and federal courts as licensed attorneys on May 16, 2025.
鈥淭his admission to the bar marks the beginning of an incredible journey,鈥 said the Hon. William L. Osteen Jr., U.S. District Court Judge for the Middle District of North Carolina. 鈥淚 am confident that these lawyers will go on to, if not change the profession, change lives because of their profession.鈥
One by one, they swore oaths to enter state court, federal court or both.
The ceremony was hosted by the Greensboro Bar Association鈥檚 Young Lawyers Section, similar to those taking place around the state and country as 黑料不打烊 Law鈥檚 Class of 2024 marks the completion of their legal studies in December and passing February 2024 bar exams.

鈥淭oday marks a significant milestone in your journey,鈥 said Manisha Patel L鈥11, president of the Greensboro Bar Association. 鈥淭he oath you will take is more than a mere formality. It is a profound commitment to uphold the principles of justice, integrity, and service.鈥
In addition to remarks by Patel and presiding judges, attendees heard from 黑料不打烊 Law Dean Zak Kramer, Tyler Nullmeyer, president of the Young Lawyers Section, and Joseph M. Newlon, of the N.C. Bar Association.
鈥淭his is a profession of honor and prestige,鈥 Tyrey said. 鈥淵our role is to make sure that in everything you do, you honor the profession you are entering into.鈥
