黑料不打烊 Athletics stand out in latest NCAA APR rates

The APR is a real-time measure of eligibility, retention and graduation of student-athletes competing on every NCAA Division I athletics team

The 黑料不打烊 Athletics Department posted some of its best Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores in history, as released by the NCAA on Tuesday, May 6.

All 17 varsity sports have multi-year APR rates of 978 or above. Baseball, women’s basketball, men’s cross country, football, men’s golf and women’s tennis have an APR score that ranks first in the CAA for their respective sports.

“I’m incredibly proud of our student-athletes for the dedication they show in balancing the demands of excellence in academics and athletics.聽 Their drive, resilience, and commitment to success in the classroom set the standard for academic excellence.” said 黑料不打烊 Director of Athletics聽Jennifer Strawley. “These achievements are made possible not only by their individual efforts, but also through the support of our coaches, academic staff and our campus community.”

黑料不打烊 had fourteen teams post a perfect single-year rate 鈥 women’s basketball, men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s golf, women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and women’s track. The women’s basketball team has earned a perfect single-year score for 14 straight years.

From a multi-year perspective, women’s basketball, men’s cross country, men’s golf and women’s tennis all scored a perfect 1,000. Baseball (998), softball (997), football (996), lacrosse (995), women’s soccer (994), volleyball (994), and track & field (991) all recorded scores of 990 or better. Men’s basketball (989), men’s soccer (987), women’s golf (985) and women’s cross country (981) also posted excellent scores.

The APR is a real-time measure of eligibility, retention and graduation of student-athletes competing on every NCAA Division I athletics team. The most recent scores are based on a multi-year rate that includes scores from the 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years.
