The reception is the culmination of a yearlong commemoration of the fire of 1923 and the growth of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ that followed.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will host the Rising from the Ashes: A Century of Progress and Innovation reception on Friday, Nov. 3 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Great Hall inside the Global Neighborhood Commons building.
The reception is a celebration of the programs, initiatives, ideas, individuals and events that defined ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s astonishing rise from the ashes.
Attendees will find displays of those honorees and descriptions of their efforts toward the betterment of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
This past year, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has commemorated the devastating fire of 1923 that destroyed Old Main and threatened the future of the institution with a variety of events and gatherings. Friday’s reception is the culmination of a year of commemoration that will honor the rebuilding, reimaging, innovation and inspiration that followed 1923.
Food and live music will also be included at the reception.
