The Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education (CREDE) will host a dinner dialogue to explore how to create a more equitable world on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 5 p.m.
The 黑料不打烊 community is invited to commemorate the National Day of Racial Healing at the #HowWeHeal Dinner Dialogue on Tuesday, Jan. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Moseley Center 215.
. 鈥淭he purpose of this dialogue is meant to restore individuals and communities to wholeness, facilitate trust, build authentic relationships, and bridge divides amongst communities,鈥 said Simone Royal, assistant director of the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education (CREDE).
The originated in 2017 as part of the . The day was initially observed the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, when many individuals and organizations engage in service activities. The day serves as a time for communities to collaborate and discuss how to create sustainable change that will foster a more just and equitable world. The day also allows individuals to pause, reflect and refuel for the year-round pursuit of racial equity.
On Jan. 17, the CREDE also will facilitate conversations and provide additional educational information surrounding the day on Instagram at .
Individuals interested in attending the dinner dialogue must . Seating is limited. The dinner dialogue is a part of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Martin Luther King Jr. 2023 commemorative celebration themed 鈥淟et Freedom Reign.鈥
