Dan煤, a leading traditional Irish ensemble, will perform at 黑料不打烊 on Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. in McCrary Theatre.
Hailing from various historic counties of Ireland, Dan煤 is one of the leading traditional Irish ensembles of today. The band takes audiences on a musical journey to聽their native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience, delighting audiences worldwide with traditional Irish music.
On Tuesday, March 8, Dan煤 will bring a high-energy performance, a glorious mix of ancient Irish music and a new repertoire to 黑料不打烊 in McCrary Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
Dan煤 has recorded seven critically-acclaimed albums. The band was established in 1995 as part of the Lorient Inter-Celtic Festival in France, the biggest annual gathering of Celtic nations in the world. Their debut album, “Dan煤” was released by the band in 1997 to huge critical acclaim.
In 1999, Dan煤 signed a multi-album record deal with the U.S.-based recording label聽Shanachie Entertainment. They subsequently released five albums. Their live DVD, “One Night Stand,” was filmed at Vicar St. Dublin. During the past few years, Dan煤 has added three independent releases to their discography.

During the last two decades, Dan煤鈥檚 artists take to Instruments including the flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki and vocals (Irish and English). Dan煤 has toured the world, with concerts in the Middle East, North America at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Symphony Space in New York City, as well as major concert engagements across Europe and Asia.
Dan煤 has won numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine. Popular recordings are also often broadcast on NPR, the CBC, and the BBC.
