黑料不打烊

黑料不打烊 faculty and staff now eligible for vaccines beginning March 3

N.C. Gov. Roy Cooper accelerated vaccine eligibility, making 黑料不打烊 employees, including student employees, eligible to receive the vaccine a week earlier than expected.

Colleagues, this afternoon North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper accelerated vaccine eligibility.

All 黑料不打烊 employees (including student employees) working in person as essential workers in Group 3 of the state鈥檚 distribution plan, are eligible for COVID vaccinations starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 3.

We strongly recommend that staff and faculty get vaccinated whenever and wherever it is available to them.

Until the state supplies the university with vaccine doses, we encourage eligible employees to follow the instructions below to locate a vaccine appointment. Because this process is changing rapidly, as additional supplies (and test sites) are being added daily, it makes sense to check for appointments frequently.

Below are suggestions for searching for vaccine appointments, based on what we know today:

  1. Go to .
  2. Enter your zip code and click 鈥淪ubmit鈥.
  3. Once you enter your zip code and click submit, scroll down to the map and scroll through the list of vaccination sites. If you enter 27244 and click 鈥淣o Limit,鈥 approximately 20 sites will appear from Burlington to Greensboro.
  4. Each site listed to the left of the map will have its own website and portal to schedule an appointment.
  5. For each site, you may have to explore how their appointment system works. For example, for Walgreens, you may have to enter 鈥淐OVID vaccine鈥 in the search bar.
  6. Each site will require you to answer questions about your health and to state that you are an Essential Frontline Worker (eligible in Phase 3).
  7. Don鈥檛 assume no appointments at one site means other sites don鈥檛 have appointments.
  8. Make sure to search on different dates, as some dates will fill sooner than others.
  9. Consider searching different zip codes and cities.
  10. Sites will require you to create an account and to provide CDC required demographic information (name, address, phone, DOB, race, ethnicity, gender, etc.).

Keep in mind

  • Staff who receive the vaccine may take up to two hours of pandemic leave to travel to their appointment and receive the vaccination, if the appointment time falls within scheduled work hours.
  • As vaccine supplies increase, and the , more appointment slots are expected to open.
  • As soon as we receive supplies from the state, we will open a distribution site on campus. That site, by law, will be open to all who are eligible, and especially underserved populations.
  • Please check with your colleagues who may need help in navigating the online system to get an appointment.
  • We will send emails to student employees and supervisors of student employees later this week.

Stay tuned for more updates. We will share more information as it becomes available.

We look forward to all 黑料不打烊 employees getting their vaccinations soon,
