茅lan 鈥 A Tribute to Billy Joel
Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m.
黑料不打烊鈥檚 vocal jazz ensemble,聽茅lan,聽presents music from singer/songwriter Billy Joel. Accompanied with rhythm section, the concert will feature hits such as: “Only the Good Die Young,” “Lullabye,” “Always a Woman,” “Longest Time,” “Uptown Girl,” “New York State of Mind,” and of course, “Piano Man,” as well as others.
Camerata 鈥 A Celebration of Light
Saturday,聽Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m.
The 黑料不打烊聽Camerata, performs a concert of a cappella works from centuries of choral art in celebration of the holiday spirit. This year鈥檚 narrated script聽features writings from the collected works of T.S. Eliot as well as scripture. This unique, reflective celebration of the season will be the fifteenth installment of this highly acclaimed program and has become an annual part of our community鈥檚 anticipation of the season of light.听With 黑料不打烊 organist W. Thomas Jones and narrated by Brent Smith, 黑料不打烊 assistant director of teaching and learning technologies.
Earlier this semester, the two groups gathered virtually for a performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” with 黑料不打烊 alum Josh Carswell ’11 singing the solo. View that performance here.
