Allison Pelyhes receives Interfaith Youth Core grant

The Racial Equity & Interfaith Cooperation Award is part of the IYC's We Are Each Other's Campaign.

Allison Pelyhes, multifaith coordinator for the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, was awarded a $1,000 Racial Equity & Interfaith Cooperation Award from the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) as a part of their We Are Each Other’s Campaign.

Pelyhes, along with Kiah Glenn, assistant director of the Center for Race, Ethnicity, & Diversity Education, plan to use the grant funds to support in-depth, staff-led “Anti-racist Interfaith Leadership” workshops for students in partnership with the Center for Leadership as a  “Leadershop” series and at the annual Ripple Interfaith Conference. They plan to train 50 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students in the “leadershop” offerings and 50 through conferences, yielding 100 students impacted at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and beyond.
