While working from home, staff in the Office of Student Involvement take the opportunity to stay connected.
To keep spirits up and to have a little fun while working remotely, Student Involvement added 鈥渟how and tell鈥 to their Friday check-ins. The original plan was to work the letters 鈥淓-L-O-N鈥 until students got back to campus. This week, they are on the letter 鈥淣.鈥 Staff share a bit about themselves and share items that start with the corresponding letter.
鈥淭hink of your elementary school days and the excitement you had as Friday approached when it was your turn to bring in a show-and-tell item,鈥 Administrative Assistant for Student Life Jackie Allred said. 鈥淪ince we are all at home this seemed like the perfect opportunity to share a little more about ourselves. It also gives everyone something fun to look forward to throughout the week and ends the week on a high note.鈥
Items shared range from an electric guitar, a European adventure scrapbook, library cards, Lysol wipes, 鈥渨hich are a hot commodity at the moment,鈥 Allred said, and an orientation leader name tag.
While providing some light-hearted fun, it also allows staff at Student Involvement to stay in touch in the age of social distancing.
鈥淭his provides us an opportunity to stay connected, continue building upon our relationships, and even brought us closer 鈥 even when working remotely,鈥 Allred said.
