Earth Week speaker Katharine Wilkinson to discuss 鈥楧rawdown Rising: Solutions, Leadership, and a Path Forward for the Climate Crisis鈥

Katharine Wilkinson, lead writer of Drawdown, will speak at 黑料不打烊 on April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in McKinnon Hall (Moseley Center).

As part of Earth Week events, 黑料不打烊 will host at talk on April 23 by Katharine Wilkinson, an author, strategist and expert on how humanity can address the climate crisis. Wilkinson will speak in McKinnon Hall in Moseley Center at 7:30 p.m.

Wilkinson was the lead writer of “Drawdown” 鈥 the New York Times bestseller on climate solutions聽鈥 and currently serves as the vice president of communication & engagement at .

Wilkinson鈥檚 interdisciplinary background spans academia, business and the social sector. Known for her work at the intersection of climate, gender equality and women鈥檚 leadership, her TED Talk on the topic has more than 1.5 million views. In 2019, TIME featured Wilkinson as one of 15 鈥渨omen who will save the world.鈥 She holds a doctorate in geography and environment from the University of Oxford, where she was a Rhodes Scholar, and a bachelor’s degree in religion from Sewanee: The University of the South.

Wilkinson will share highlights from Project Drawdown鈥檚 pioneering assessment of climate solutions, as well as insights about transformational climate leadership from people, organizations, and movements.
