The event will be held Friday, Sept. 27, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in downtown Burlington’s Historic Depot and coincides with the university’s Family Weekend, which brings thousands to campus each year. The new offering adds to the wide variety of activities for visiting family members, and offers another opportunity for the campus community to tap into all that downtown Burlington has to offer.
The event launches this year with the goal of engaging as many ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty, staff, students, parents and friends of the university with local community members, leaders and businesses as a collective celebration of the shared commitment to the community. Members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community are encouraged to wear their maroon and gold to demonstrate their school spirit.
Phoenix 4th Friday is part of the 4th Friday series offered by the Burlington Department of Parks and Recreation that brings people downtown for music, games, activities and socializing on the fourth Friday of the month beginning in May. The university has partnered with the event in the spirit of making new discoveries and a sense of unified meaning and purpose between ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and the surrounding community.Â

A shuttle will be running every 15 minutes from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus from the Inman Admissions Welcome Center to downtown. Parking is also available, with
