Produced by Jared Mayerson ’20 and Jordan Shaw ’20, “Leaving the Nest” tells the story of a North Carolina family that lives in yurts – portable, round tents. The film will be screened this spring on campus at the 2019 elondocs documentary showcase.

Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler, director of the Center for Research on Global Engagement and professor of psychology, offered insights from research with colleagues from six institutions. 

Mary Knight-McKenna and Heidi Hollingsworth, associate professors of education, presented at the conferences of the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children, and the North Carolina Infant/Young Child Mental Health Association.

The social gathering space for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ fans is made possible through generous gifts from Glen Raven Inc. and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Trustee Allen E. Gant Jr. and his wife, Denise. The club's official opening is for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ men's basketball game against the University of North Carolina on Friday, Nov. 9.

During Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Dining and Campus Kitchen are collaborating to help fight food insecurity in Alamance County. Donate five canned goods at Lakeside Dining Hall and receive a free meal. In addition, the Faces of Homelessness Panel will be Monday, Nov. 12.
