Mend Monday in Maker Hub-Colonnades

Bring your favorite worn-out clothes to Maker Hub-Colonnades to give them new life. Bring an old T-shirt and learn how to turn it into a reusable bag.

One-in-six people work in the global fashion industry, and the majority of these workers are women earning less than $3 a day. What can you do to help?

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the Office of Sustainability in Maker Hub-Colonnades for an evening of making and mending!  We’ll supply the materials and knowledge needed to repair your favorite shirt or sew a button on your most beloved pair of jeans. Bring an old T-shirt and we’ll help you turn it into a reusable bag for all of your shopping needs.

This partnership between The Maker Hub and the Office of Sustainability encourages sustainable attitudes and waste reduction surrounding fashion by teaching ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community members how to repair and upcycle clothing.

This event is part of a series of events for Campus Sustainability Week.  See the Office of Sustainability Website for a full calendar of events
