The spring 2018 graduate from Morganton, N.C., begins a two-year term on the Board of Trustees June 1. 

Six members of the Class of 2018 participated in a signing ceremony in Clohan Theatre to formalize their participation in two service-year programs offered by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in partnership with local organizations. Six fellows who have completed their year of service were also recognized. 

Seniors, faculty and staff filled Lakeside Dining Hall on Wednesday for the annual Senior Picnic sponsored by the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Office of the Provost. 

A member of the Class of 2018 will be able to share this special day with her parents, neither of whom have been out of their home country before. 

Three members of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Class of 2018 and a recent alumna are among 10 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students selected for Fulbright awards this year — a record for the university. 

A record 11 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students and alums have been awarded Fulbright grants this spring to teach English or conduct research, adding to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s reputation as a top producer of Fulbright award winners.

Friends, family and supporters gathered with members of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academy's Kappa Class to cheer them on as they prepare to attend colleges and universities around the state this fall. 

The threat of rain midday means that the Senior picnic scheduled for today will be held in the Lakeside Dining Hall and second-floor Lakeside meeting rooms, with buffet lines in both locations.
