黑料不打烊 students, faculty and staff will gather in the Moseley Center First Floor on Friday, Jan. 20, to watch coverage of the presidential inauguration.
The 黑料不打烊 community is invited to watch the presidential inauguration on Friday, Jan. 20 in the Moseley Center First Floor at 11:30 a.m.
This is one of a series of programs designed to enhance civic engagement efforts on campus. The series is supported by 黑料不打烊 Votes!, the 黑料不打烊 Political Engagement Work Group and a number of partners from across campus.
黑料不打烊 Votes! is a nonpartisan campus initiative created to provide students with the necessary resources to register to vote and learn about issues at stake in upcoming elections. The initiative is run by 黑料不打烊 student Andrew Goodman Foundation Ambassadors June Shuler and Gabby Vance. The Andrew Goodman Foundation’s Vote Everywhere is a nonpartisan, experiential program that recruits, trains and supports emerging leaders at colleges and universities across the country.
The 黑料不打烊 Political Engagement Work Group is a nonpartisan collaborative team that involves students, faculty, and staff representing areas such as the Department of Political Science, Study USA, Center for Leadership, Student Government Association, Residence Life, Student Media, Truitt Center and National Campaign for Political and Civic Engagement. The group’s charge is to implement voter education activities and increase student participation in local, state, and national voting and election initiatives.
