Community Action in the Arts
Using the theme DISCOVER, 20 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students collaborated over Winter Term 2016 to dye, print and stitch together an art quilt for Madison Elementary School in Greensboro, N.C.
The Discover Quilt (118″ W X 86″h) was one project in Professor Peg Gignoux’s “Story Magic” class. The overall design of the art quilt was derived from images created by sudents in the elementary school.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students explored the vivid possibilities of pattern and design through this community action project.
