Meet ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's newest employees

Diana Abrahams, Multi Faith and Intern Coordinator
Diana Abrahams is originally from Boyds, Md. She received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in Jewish studies from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Prior to joining the faculty at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Diana worked as Woodword Gymnastics Camp. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, ultimate Frisbee and singing. She is excited to work with students and other faculty and staff members in a role that has the potential to affect lives.

Carla Fullwood, Associate Director of CREDE
Carla Fullwood received her master’s degree from Ball State University. Originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., Carla comes to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ after working at Marquette University. She is looking forward to working with colleagues who are also committed to diversity education and social justice. She lives with husband LeRoy and enjoys running in her spare time.

Binnan Gao, Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese
Binnan Goa was previously employed at Harvard University and is originally from Harbin, China. She received her Ph.D. in second language acquisition and enjoys swimming, jogging, hiking and dancing in her spare time. She appreciates the small and welcoming atmosphere at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

Jason Garriotte, Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach
Jason Garriotte was previously the assistant women’s tennis coach at Furman University. He received his bachelor’s degree in business and is originally from Plymouth, Ind.

James E. Harrelson, Shuttle Driver
James Harrelson is originally from Burlington, N.C. He and wife Margaret have two children Tamara, 44, and Timica, 35. Prior to joining ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s staff, James worked for Duke Energy. In his spare time he enjoys gardening.

Donnell M. Jeffries, Supervisor- 3rd shift Environmental Services
Donnell Jeffries lives with wife Sherri and children Jaylin, 18, Emory, 2, Adyent, 1 and their dog, Lilo. Originally from Burlington, N.C., Donnell is a graduate of Alamance Community College and was previously employed at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. He is excited to return to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and enjoys spending time with his family and going to the beach.

Susan M. Klein, Dispatcher
Susan Klein is originally from Burlington, N.C. Prior to joining ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s staff, she was a sales manager at Utility Associates, Inc. She lives with husband Mark and their dog Bella. In her spare time she enjoys baking, cooking and volunteering at church. She, also volunteers with Feed the Hunger and Beautiful Life Ministries. She likes working at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ because it is close to home, a great place to work and has a beautiful campus.

Daniel Little, Custodian
Daniel Little is originally from Thomasville, N.C.  He enjoys reading, walking, bowling and doing volunteer work. He has a daughter, Ashley, 24, and was previously employed at Guilford County Schools. He admires the diversity among ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ staff, faculty and students. He came to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to advance his education and enhance his occupational skills. One of his life mottos is, “What you do speaks louder than what you say.”

Claristine Lockett, Custodian
Claristine Lockett is originally from Burlington, N.C. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and reading.

Gregg McCoy, Campus Police Officer
Gregg McCoy lives with wife Gwendolyn and their dog, Baylee. Originally from Duquesne, Pa., he attended Robert Morris University. He was previously employed at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He enjoys listening to jazz music and motorcycle riding. He enjoys working at a university with a football team and gaining knowledge about ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

Satana Menard, Campus Police Officer
Satana Menard is originally from Stoneville, N.C. Her and husband Charles Jr. have a son Brett, 7, two stepsons, Aaron, 18, and Justin, 20, and a dog Duke. She received her bachelor’s degree from Greensboro College and was previously an assistant store manager at Dollar General. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and going to the gym.

Timothy Miles, Supervisor- Flex Shift Environmental Services  
Timothy Miles is originally from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, N.C. He and wife Erin have five children, Crystal, 29, Tamara, 28, Makayla, 11, Brianna, 10, and Trent, 5. Timothy’s parents formerly worked at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. Timothy came to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ after working at Conklin Oil and Propane. He enjoys restoring old trucks and motorcycle riding.

Sean Rollolazo, Assistant Director of Residence Life- The Oaks
Sean Rollolazo received his master’s degree from Baylor University. He is originally from Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Prior to joining ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Sean was employed at Baylor University. He enjoys listening to music, singing, dancing and running in his spare time. He decided to join ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s staff because of the beautiful campus and the wonderful people.

J.B. Tanner, Director of Operations for Men’s Basketball
J.B. Tanner received his master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to coming to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, he worked at University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Virginia Commonwealth University. He lives with wife Kristi and enjoys hiking, backpacking and spending time with family and friends. He is looking forward to taking on the challenge of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s transition to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) this year.

Katherine Upton, Assistant Professor of Finance
Katherine Upton is originally from Homewood, Ala. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Alabama and was previously employed at the university, working with Morgan Asset Management. She lives with husband Jeremy, their children, Nick, 3, and Brennan, 2, and three dogs, Hatfield, Izzy and Grady. In her spare time, she enjoys running and doing Pilates.
