Angela Dalton G'13and her sixth grade class at Lincoln Academy in Greensborro were featured in the Greensboro News & Record because of the interactive methods used to study ancient Greece.
Students in Angela Dalton’s sixth-grade class at Lincoln Academy in Greensboro explored Greek history and mythology by creating Facebook pages, writing songs, developing a magazine and putting on a Greek fashion show.
Dalton, who received her masters of education from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in 2013, created the unit and taught many of the same activities during the Formative Learning Experience gifted camp at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ last summer. She and her fellow teachers planned this unit back in November in order to energize their kids’ curiosity after they took end-of-grade tests.
