ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ World Percussion Ensemble is open to new members

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ WPE is looking for new members for the Spring of 2015.  No experience is required and it is open to any member of the student body.

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ World Percussion Ensemble shares the joys of the rhythmic, musical and cultural aspects of West African, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Rican and Brazilian music.

Under the direction of Jim Roberts, this performing group focuses on hand, bell and stick drum or other percussion techniques that are used in a wide variety of musical situations with a traditional and improvisational base. Additionally, Individual drum set lessons are available for semester credit under Mr. Roberts (Mus 142A).  You might think ” I have never played an instrument so why should I start now?”  Find out why it is good for your brain by viewing “How playing an instrument benefits your brain” –
