The associate professor and coordinator of the Music Production & Recording Arts program completes commissioned musical work for the Ciompi Quartet and organist Tim Olsen.
This summer Todd Coleman, associate professor and coordinator of Music Production & Recording Arts, completed work on a new 15-minute composition for organ and string quartet. The new work will be premiered by the Ciompi Quartet and organist Tim Olsen on October 6 at 3 p.m. in Whitley Auditorium as part of the Mary Duke Biddle Chamber Series
The piece was commissioned by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Cultural and Special Programs for this event. This follows the premiere of Coleman’s 12-minute work for orchestra, large choir, and rhythm section, “In varietate concordia, Many and One” which was commissioned for the President’s Gala this past April.
