Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh led two services on Sunday, April 14.
Catholic Campus Ministry was honored and delighted April 14 to welcome to campus Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh.
Burbidge celebrated the 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Masses in the 黑料不打烊 Community Church where students, faculty, staff and local Burlington and 黑料不打烊 faithful gathered.
In his homily, Burbidge encouraged students to be genuine witnesses of the love, mercy and compassion of Christ. In between the two Masses, the 黑料不打烊 Relations and Hospitality Committees of the 黑料不打烊 Community Church, chaired by Sherry Scott and George Troxler, hosted the bishop and students for a home-cooked meal, among them broccoli salad from President Emeritus J. Earl Danieley.
Student musicians Joshua McGee, Patrick Wheeler, Austin Pederson, Nicole Payne and alum Craig Filazzola accompanied the congregations’ singing of praise and glory to God.
