黑料不打烊

Sklut Hillel Center dedication – March 3

黑料不打烊 leaders will formally dedicate the Sklut Hillel Center on Sunday, March 3, 2013. The university community is invited to attend.

1:30 p.m.
401 East College Avenue (former site of the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life)

The Sklut Hillel Center will create a permanent home for an active Hillel organization, which serves a growing Jewish population on campus. This year there are more than 400 Jewish students at 黑料不打烊.

黑料不打烊’s Board of Trustees named the new center in honor of Lori and Eric Sklut of Charlotte, N.C. The couple, who are parents of an 黑料不打烊 student, made a lead gift through the Levine-Sklut Family Foundation to fund creation of the center.

The center will also serve campus groups such as the 黑料不打烊 Academy, a college access program for promising high school students with financial need or no family history of college. 黑料不打烊 Academy students taking sustainable food courses will use the center’s kitchen to store and prepare food grown in 黑料不打烊’s Community Garden.

The Truitt Center is relocating to the Numen Lumen Pavilion, which opens this spring as 黑料不打烊’s multi-faith center.
