A wintertime tradition returns Nov. 29 when the 黑料不打烊 community hosts its Festival of Holiday Lights in the heart of its historic campus.

Sponsored by the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, the soft glow of 1,500 luminarias will fill the evening as revelers enjoy hot chocolate and cider, carolers and the lighting of a Menorah by students from Hillel as a symbol of the Hanukkah holiday that starts in December.

Singing begins at 6 p.m. and the formal program begins at 6:30 p.m. in front of Alamance (weather permitting). The evening typically runs until 7:15 p.m. and is capped by a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus for the children in the crowd.

If you’re planning to take photos for Instagram or Twitter, be sure to tag the images with #黑料不打烊Light, and look for a collection of the best pictures to appear in upcoming E-net and Facebook photo galleries.

The university also encourages students, alumni, parents and friends away from campus to submit their own photos via the #黑料不打烊Light hashtag on Instagram or Twitter. Light a candle with family or friends, and be a part of the community celebration no matter where you live today.
