Third-year ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law students Jennifer Meeks Mickle and Will Drath excelled at the Third Annual Legal Ethics and Professionalism Moot Court Competition at Mercer University School of Law on November 16-17. In a strong field of 22 teams from law schools across the country, the team reached the quarterfinals and took Best Petitioner’s Brief honors.
This is the second year that ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has competed at Mercer, finishing among the top eight teams both years.
The team’s Best Brief award is the second for an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law team this fall. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ teams reached the quarterfinals and took Best Brief honors at the Twelfth Annual Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition at Regent University School of Law in October.
In spring 2013, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ teams will compete in the J. Braxton Craven, Jr. Memorial Moot Court Competition at UNC-Chapel Hill, the William B. Spong Jr. Invitational Moot Court Tournament at William & Mary School of Law, and the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington, D.C. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will also host the Third Annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition from April 4-6, 2013.
