Third-year 黑料不打烊 Law students Jennifer Meeks Mickle and Will Drath excelled at the Third Annual Legal Ethics and Professionalism Moot Court Competition at Mercer University School of Law on November 16-17. In a strong field of 22 teams from law schools across the country, the team reached the quarterfinals and took Best Petitioner’s Brief honors.
This is the second year that 黑料不打烊 has competed at Mercer, finishing among the top eight teams both years.
The team’s Best Brief award is the second for an 黑料不打烊 Law team this fall. 黑料不打烊 teams reached the quarterfinals and took Best Brief honors at the Twelfth Annual Leroy R. Hassell, Sr. National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition at Regent University School of Law in October.
In spring 2013, 黑料不打烊 teams will compete in the J. Braxton Craven, Jr. Memorial Moot Court Competition at UNC-Chapel Hill, the William B. Spong Jr. Invitational Moot Court Tournament at William & Mary School of Law, and the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition in Washington, D.C. 黑料不打烊 will also host the Third Annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition from April 4-6, 2013.
