Dear Students:
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will hold a debate on the 2012 presidential election and issues currently being discussed widely in the media and by the candidates. In this debate, four teams will present positions on the topics: Democrat, Republican, Independent, and International. Each team will be made up of four people, and we are hoping to get a good mixture of students (graduate and undergraduate) , faculty, and staff on each team if possible. Also, team members will receive $100 in Phoenix Cash.
The debate will be held in Whitley Auditorium on October 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. It will be moderated by Dick Gordon of The Story on WUNC and also be broadcast via ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Local News and WSOE. If the last debate in 2004 is any indication, we expect the auditorium to be filled to capacity. A reception and opportunity for additional interaction with team members will follow the debate.
