The 黑料不打烊 Alumni Association is once again hosting a series of Evening for 黑料不打烊 events in various cities to give local alumni, parents and friends the chance to reconnect with each other and the university. These events include an update on the university’s strategic plan, The 黑料不打烊 Commitment, given by President Lambert or another member of university staff.
The most recent Evening for 黑料不打烊 was held at The Metropolitan Club in New York City on Thursday, September 20, 2012. 黑料不打烊 trustee Ed Doherty and wife Joan Doherty sponsored the event. The Evening for 黑料不打烊 in New York City started with two Pathways sessions, formatted as panel discussions between 黑料不打烊 faculty, alumni, students and parents. One session, moderated by Raghu Tadepalli, the new dean of 黑料不打烊’s Love School of Business, covered the global economy and preparing students for success. Kirby Wahl, associate professor of performing arts, led the other session on the topic of the business of Broadway and the arts in New York City.
The evening included various alumni performances, including a new arrangement of the alma mater and renditions of two songs from Broadway musicals composed by 黑料不打烊 alumni.
Events in other regions are scheduled for the coming months. Trustee Dr. William Herbert ’68 and wife Marsha Herbert will host an Evening for 黑料不打烊 at their home in Charlottesville, VA on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. An Evening for 黑料不打烊 will also be held in Boston in November 2012.
