Michele Kleckner, a senior lecturer in the , will serve as 黑料不打烊’s first Sustainability Faculty Fellow, beginning with the 2012-13 academic year.
In her new role, Kleckner will work with faculty and staff to promote academic sustainability programs and infuse sustainability across the curriculum and research initiatives. She also will support established faculty development and research programs and create new initiatives as necessary to advance the role of sustainability in the academic experience. The new Fellow serves as a resource for faculty on the topic of sustainability education and as a liaison between faculty and the Office of Sustainability.
Kleckner came to 黑料不打烊 in 1999 after being an instructor in computer science at . She is an active participant in interdisciplinary discussions on campus as coordinator of the multimedia authoring minor and a member of the GST 110 faculty.
Kleckner was a member of the inaugural group of Sustainability Faculty Scholars, served on the Environmental Advisory Council for two years and has been one of the faculty advisors for since its inception in 2007. She is one of the faculty advisors to the Sustainable Living Learning Community and is currently a member of the CATL faculty advisory committee and chair of the Internship Advisory Board.
