Alpha Xi Delta sorority at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is hosting the Step it Up: 5K for Autism Speaks to support the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization.
Mayor Jerry Peterman of Graham will be kicking off the event at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s south campus intramural fields at 1 p.m. on April 15. Senator Rick Gunn of North Carolina will also be attending the 5K. The event is open to the community for all ages, with check-in beginning at 12 p.m.
Before April 15, the adult registration fee is $10 and the day of is $15. For youth participants 12 and under, the registration fee is $5 before the event and $10 the day of.
