A February article in The Pendulum, the student-run newspaper at 黑料不打烊, highlighted the benefits of minoring in American Studies.
In the article, minor program coordinator Samuele Pardini was quoted as saying that the minor “is essential to helping teach about diversity at 黑料不打烊, where significant emphasis is placed on promoting diversity.”
He continued, “It’s no exaggeration that American culture brought diversity, and learning about (diversity) all started with American studies. This is the field that welcomed minorities to America and brought the issues of gender diversity, race relations and imperialism to the forefront.”
