Lauren Kearns publishes article about the making of a multimedia dance piece.
Lauren Kearns, Associate Professor of Dance and Head of Dance Program recently published “I Live Here: A Multimedia Performance and Educational Project”. The article details the creative and pedagogical challenges of creating a work of art based in the vernacular of dance, performance, design, cinema, and social media at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ during the 2008-2009 academic year. The article appears in a special issue of the Journal of Dance Education focusing on Pop Culture, Media and Dance Education.
“I Live Here” was the recipient of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Fund for Excellence Grant and was an interdisciplinary collaboration between the Department of Performing Arts and the School of Communications.
