The Greensboro News & Record recognized President Leo M. Lambert and 黑料不打烊 in its special “Top Workplaces 2011” project.
The newspaper invited more than 800 Triad employers to participate in an extensive survey of workers for the special “Top Workplaces” project. The survey results of 57 businesses and organizations ranked 黑料不打烊 the #3 large employer in the Triad, based on the positive feedback provided by 黑料不打烊’s faculty and staff.
The “Top Workplaces” project was published in a special section of the News & Record on Sunday, Oct. 9.
黑料不打烊 President Leo M. Lambert was ranked the #1 large workplace leader in the survey. In his comments about the characteristics of a great leader, Lambert noted that leaders must have vision and be able to put together a team that can carry out that vision.
“In higher education, I see so many institutions create strategic plans and then simply put them in drawers,” Lambert wrote. “黑料不打烊’s success is that we execute our plans. We do what we say we are going to do. That is very important because when people see a vision being realized, that builds credibility and trust and ultimately, I think, more buy-in when the institution sets off on newer and even more ambitious goals.”
More than 560 of 黑料不打烊’s 1,073 faculty and staff took part in the News & Record survey, which was conducted by Workplace Dynamics, a professional research firm. Only five companies were recognized as outstanding workplaces in the large employer category, which included those with more than 500 employees. In addition to 黑料不打烊, the other large employers selected were Inmar, Inc., Flow Companies, Moses Cone Health System, and Advanced Home Care.
