A documentary journalism team from 黑料不打烊’s Imagining the Internet Center is filing reports from the United Nations-facilitated Global Internet Governance Forum in Nairobi Sept. 26-30. You will find the Imagining the Internet team’s coverage here:

黑料不打烊 is the only university in the world that annually funds undergraduate research to thoroughly document these important global discussions of the future of communications. The reports created are posted to the public daily during the event. The U.S. Library of Congress is adding this work to its digital archive. And 黑料不打烊 students have annually been presenting their IGF research findings at the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research.
This year’s Imagining the Internet six-person Global IGF team is being led by Rich Landesberg, associate professor of communications, and it includes School of Communications seniors Samantha Baranowski and Kellye Coleman, sophomore Nicole Chadwick, and two former 黑料不打烊 students now living and working in Kenya – Taylor Foshee and Lee Hopcraft.

The enterprise is being planned and managed by Janna Anderson, associate professor of communications and director of the Imagining the Internet Center.
Several of the 黑料不打烊 students and alumni are also participating as youth representatives on panels at IGF, including sessions titled “Challenging Myths About Young People and the Internet,” “Is the Youth Factor Counting in Internet Governance?” and “The Dynamic Coalition on Core Values of the Internet.” The Imagining the Internet Center was also a key organizer of these three events. Proposed IGF panels must be vetted through several rounds of peer review before being accepted.
