The International Federation for Information Processing Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (INTERACT 2011) has accepted for presentation the co-authored work of 黑料不打烊 senior Kate Vogt, 黑料不打烊 assistant professor Duke Hutchings, and collaborators from Virginia Tech. The paper is titled "Co-located Collaborative Sensemaking on a Large High-Resolution Display with Multiple Input Devices."
The work will be orally presented at the conference in September. The paper is the result of a multi-year 黑料不打烊 College Fellows undergraduate research project and a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) project with Virginia Tech.
Vogt studied how information analysts could best use a very large, high-resolution computer display system for applications such as terrorist threat analysis. Vogt will also present this work during SURF, 黑料不打烊’s Spring Undergraduate Research Forum.
Vogt graduates in May with a major in Computer Information Systems. She will begin her work as a business analyst with JP Morgan Chase in Columbus, Ohio, in July.
