On September 30, four Greensboro business attorneys spoke with 黑料不打烊 Law students about the practice of business law and the skills needed to excel in the area. Participants included John Overfield of Coltrane, Aycock & Overfield PLLC, Paula Sinozich of Connors, Morgan Sinozich, Adam Tarleton of Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP, and Craig Taylor of Carruthers & Roth, PA.

黑料不打烊 Law invites proposals from non-profit organizations to receive legal insights and analysis from law students

Non-profit organizations and government entities are invited to submit proposals about a legal problem they are facing, for consideration as a matter to be studied in-depth by 黑料不打烊 Law students. If selected, the legal issue will be researched and analyzed by second-year law students, under the supervision of law faculty. Students will also make presentations before each organization participating, recommending a range of possible solutions to each entity's respective legal problem.

Martha Peters presents at Florida Law School

On September 27, 黑料不打烊 Law professor Martha Peters presented at the University of Florida Law School. In a presentation geared towards students in the first-year class, Peters highlighted the importance of self-assessment to help students study the law and prepare for law practice more effectively.

黑料不打烊 Law’s Innocence Project hosts ’90s themed fundraiser

On January 19, the 黑料不打烊 Law Innocence Project held an event in downtown Greensboro to raise awareness of wrongful convictions. The fundraiser was a '90s themed dance party that was attended by more than 90 黑料不打烊 students and helped raise $270 for the Innocence Project. Second-year law students Brennan Aberle and Danielle Appelman organized the event.
