The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Mock Trial program will compete Oct. 30-31 among two dozen teams from 14 universities in the 5th Annual Justice Louis Brandeis Mock Trial Invitational Tournament at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is sending one team of verterans representing students from all majors and departments to compete at the tournament.
This will be the second tournament of the season for the team. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Mock Trial is fresh off of hosting their own tournament on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus over the weekend of October 15-17. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ placed 10th in that tournament out of 26 teams and looks to achieve another Top Ten finish this weekend.
Among the teams in competition will be Harvard University, George Washington University, Brown University, Cornell University, Boston College and Boston University.
The team has been preparing since the beginning of the August, meeting two or three times a week for more than two hours per gathering.
The team is coached and accompanied by William Warihay ’07 L’10, a practicing attorney in Greensboro with Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart and a adjunct faculty member of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
