The Kernodle Center for Service Learning & Community Engagement is excited to introduce a new initiative, The Campus Kitchens Project (www.campuskitchens.org), to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus!
CKEU’s official opening is scheduled for early 2011. However, we are currently in the process of recruiting students for the 2010-2011 Leadership Team! Both cooking and delivery leadership positions are available and no previous kitchen experience is necessary! All required trainings and certifications will be provided to students with a passion and commitment for CKEU!
The Campus Kitchen at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ (CKEU) recovers unserved, excess food from ARAMARK dining and catering services to create healthy and nutritious meals that are distributed to the clients of Allied Churches – a non-denominational organization striving to meet the needs of homeless & disadvantaged members of our community while empowering them to become self-sufficient individuals.
