Christina Benson, Assistant Professor of Business Law at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, has received the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching for 2010.

Sophie Adamson, assistant professor of French, was presented with the Excellence in Teaching Award earlier this year by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College, the College of Arts and Sciences at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's men's club lacrosse team lost a hard-fought game against Westminster (Utah) May 11 in the opening
round of the MCLA Div. II National Championship in Denver, CO by a score of 11-7.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ vice president Gerald Whittington and Elaine Durr, the university’s sustainability coordinator, were both cited extensively in a story on alternative transit options on college campuses in the April 2010 edition of Business Officer magazine.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ junior Natalie Lampert will be attending the 2nd Annual Global Model United Nations Conference this August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a representative of both ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and the University of Ghana.

Four faculty members were honored May 12, 2010, for superior scholarship, teaching, mentoring and service at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s faculty-staff awards luncheon. Those recognized included Eric Hall, April Post, Todd Lee and Jeffrey C. Pugh.

Assistant Professor Evan A. Gatti will give a paper titled “Images on the Edge and About the Center: “Ottonian” Art in Northern Italy” in a session titled "Art History on the Edge: Art and Architecture in the Provinces of the Medieval World(s)" at the International Congress on Medieval Studies on May 13 in Kalamazoo, Mich.
