Holocaust victims remembered with 鈥淩eading of the Names鈥

One by one, the names were read aloud, a remembrance – and a prayer – to victims of the Holocaust who in many cases left no record they ever lived. The “Reading of the Names” event organized by 黑料不打烊 Hillel and the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life on Monday gave the community a moment to reflect on a genocide seven decades ago that took the lives of 6 million people.

黑料不打烊 junior receives Udall Scholarship

黑料不打烊 junior Molly Schriber has been named a recipient of a 2010 Udall Scholarship, an award dedicated in part for students pursuing careers related to the environment. It is the second time since 2008 that an 黑料不打烊 student has received the prestigious national award.

Catherine McNeela named William S. Long Professor

Catherine McNeela, professor of performing arts and coordinator of 黑料不打烊's music theatre program, has been named the university's William S. Long Professor, an honor named for the institution's first president. McNeela's appointment was made by President Leo M. Lambert in recognition of her 20 years of outstanding teaching, scholarship and leadership in developing 黑料不打烊’s nationally recognized Music Theatre program.
