One by one, the names were read aloud, a remembrance – and a prayer – to victims of the Holocaust who in many cases left no record they ever lived. The “Reading of the Names” event organized by ���ϲ����� Hillel and the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life on Monday gave the community a moment to reflect on a genocide seven decades ago that took the lives of 6 million people.

Catherine McNeela, professor of performing arts and coordinator of ���ϲ�����'s music theatre program, has been named the university's William S. Long Professor, an honor named for the institution's first president. McNeela's appointment was made by President Leo M. Lambert in recognition of her 20 years of outstanding teaching, scholarship and leadership in developing ���ϲ�����’s nationally recognized Music Theatre program.
