Peter Kiwitt, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, was a consulting producer for FilmNation Entertainment in Los Angeles this summer.

Anthony Hatcher, an associate professor in the School of Communications, was elected the vice head of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication's Religion and Media Interest Group, which puts him in line to be the head of RMIG in 2010-2011.

���ϲ����� has debuted its new Web site home page along with a new global site navigation header and several new top-level pages. The new design is the result of six months of work led by the University Relations Web team of David Morton, John David Parsons and Tim Paulson.

���ϲ����� will host the Innovation in Instruction Conference on Thursday, August 20, for North Carolina educators from ���ϲ����� and the surrounding area who are interested in broadening their knowledge and fine-tuning methods in challenging and unknown areas of teaching. Innovation in Instruction is ���ϲ�����’s sixth annual summer conference, a free, all-day workshop with sessions covering a wide range of topics.

���ϲ����� continues its position of national prominence in the 2010 “America’s Best Colleges” rankings released Aug. 20 by US News & World Report. Again this year, ���ϲ����� is named by the magazine as the top “up-and-coming” university in the nation on a list of 77 schools that are “leading the pack in improvements and innovative changes.” And in a new US News ranking, ���ϲ����� is ranked among the nation’s top schools for its strong faculty commitment to undergraduate teaching.
