With just one week remaining in the 2009 POWERless Energy Competition, the lead has narrowed in certain divisions, which organizers believe will make for an interesting home stretch during a contest to see which residence halls can most reduce their electricity consumption.

In the Division I building competition, Maynard, Colclough, Oaks Building B and Chandler are within 2.5% of each other. The competition ends April 7. In Division II, Danieley Apartments C leads with 26.6% energy reduction with Loy J/K, L, M not far behind with 25% reduction.
The Oaks and North Area are still battling it out for the Division I area competition. To date, The Oaks is at 18.5% energy reduction and North Area is at 15.4% energy reduction.
In Division II, Danieley Center still holds the lead with 47.5% energy reduction.
