Panel discussion on Obama presidency – Jan. 16

A panel of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and students will discuss the Obama presidency Jan. 16 in a McKinnon Hall event sponsored by the Multicultural Center, Phi Beta Kappa, the Council on Civic Engagement and the Office of Civic Engagement.

Panelists include:

Leon Williams, director of the Multicultural Center
Ashley Hairston, assistant professor of English
Jean Rohr, assistant professor of education
Keith McDaniel, pastor of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ First Baptist Church
Daniel Shutt, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ senior
Nicholas Ochsner, sophomore

The hour discussion begins at 11:30 a.m. with an opportunity for questions from the audience. The event is open to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community.

Organizers hope the discussion will be the first in a series of events “designed to maintain the high level of interest in the political process that this election has inspired.”
