Marty Peters, a professor of legal education at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law, made a series of presentations in October at the American Bar Association’s “Bar Passage Conference: Outcome Measures and Student Achievement,” a national conference on bar pass issues.

It was the ultimate post-election trip for 10 students from the two journalism groups at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. The students from the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ chapters of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and the Radio & Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) toured major Washington, D.C., news outlets and other media sites the week before Thanksgiving. The media tour was sponsored by SPJ, RTNDA and the School of Communications.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ celebrated a traditional holiday event on Dec. 4 by filling the campus with 2,000 glowing luminarias. The Holiday Lighting Ceremony featured hot chocolate and cider, with Christmas carols and the lighting of a Menorah leading up to the moment when thousands of lights illuminated the heart of campus.

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law Advisory Board held its fall meeting Dec. 3-4, providing input on a variety of key issues.

New Voices, the national Jewish student magazine, included ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in a Nov. 24 article about the boom in Jewish student enrollment at Southern colleges and universities. The story mentions ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Vanderbilt University, Millsaps College, and the University of Charleston as schools that are experiencing rapid Jewish enrollment growth.
