Peter Felten, director of 黑料不打烊’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, led the panel discussion, which was based on a column written by President Leo M. Lambert for the latest issue of the Magazine of 黑料不打烊. Lambert explained the advice he had been given by a group of CEOs he met with last fall. They suggested 黑料不打烊 develop programs that put students in challenging situations so they can develop resiliency and the ability to recover from setbacks.
Panel members included Tim Peeples, associate dean of 黑料不打烊 College, the College of Arts and Sciences; Deborah Long, faculty administrative fellow and assistant to the president; Rex Waters, associate dean of students; Wes Pope, an 黑料不打烊 senior; and Christian Wiggins, an 黑料不打烊 alumnus.
Parents encouraged the university to develop curriculum and formal programs that test students and help them gain skills that will serve them well in meeting life’s challenges.
