Carufes make scholarship gift to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ

A $125,000 gift by Damion and Sherri Carufe of Atlanta, Ga., will establish the Carufe Family Scholarship at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ baseball player, with preference given to business majors with a concentration in finance.

Damion Carufe is senior managing partner with Bear Stearns and Co., Inc. The Carufe’s daughter, Tori, is an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ freshman. The Carufes are firm believers in building the university’s endowment through scholarship gifts, securing ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s future while providing opportunities for deserving students to receive an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ education.

Endowing the scholarship qualifies the Carufes for the IMPACT (I Make Phoenix Athletics Competitive Today) Circle, the premier giving group of the Phoenix Club. The IMPACT Circle includes Phoenix Club donors who make annual gifts at the quarter, half and full scholarship levels or endow a scholarship generating equivalent annual earnings.
