Russ Gill, Steve Anderson, Kathleen Edwards and Jeff Stein presented “From the Ideal to the Possible: Creating Learning Communities at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ” on Monday, Oct. 16 at the 9th Annual Living-Learning Communities and Residential Colleges Conference held at Syracuse University.
The session, based on 4 guiding principles used in developing ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Learning Communities, included examination of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s upcoming residence halls behind Koury Business Center, the new LC Faculty Handbook, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s LC Syllabi and Learning Outcomes, and the work being done by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s current Learning Communities.
Gill serves as Learning Communities Faculty Fellow and Distinguished University Professor of English; Anderson as associate director of residence life for residential education; Edwards as assistant director of the Kernodle Center for service learning and advisor for the Service Learning Community; and Stein as assistant dean of students for residence life and service learning.
