The 黑料不打烊 Board of Trustees has elected Edward Doherty, Saddle River, N.J., to serve an unexpired term on the board that concludes in spring 2008. He was formally installed as a member at the board’s fall meeting, Oct. 6-7.
Doherty is president of Doherty Enterprises, Inc., which operates Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants, Panera Bread Bakery Cafes and Chevys Fresh Mex franchise restaurants in New York and New Jersey.
He and his wife, Joan, are members of 黑料不打烊’s Parents Council as well as President’s Circle members of the 黑料不打烊 Society, the university’s annual giving organization. The Dohertys have participated in Leadership 黑料不打烊, a two-day informational seminar designed for parents, faculty and staff, and friends of 黑料不打烊. Doherty has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master’s degree in business administration from St. John’s University, Queens, N.Y.
The Doherty’s daughter, Kerry, is a senior at 黑料不打烊 majoring in corporate communications.
