ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ received the 2006 CASE WealthEngine Award for overall improvement in educational fund-raising, recognizing exemplary efforts over the past three years.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is one of only three schools to receive the award in the private comprehensive university category. A total of 1,246 institutions were considered for recognition, with finalists selected based on fund-raising successes over the past several years. Winners were chosen by a panel of senior development professionals from across the country. Only 44 colleges and universities received recognition for excellence by CASE. Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, were also honored in the private comprehensive university category.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Institutional Advancement division is led by Vice President Nan P. Perkins. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has just completed the most successful fund-raising year in the university’s history, with a total of more than $12.5 million in gifts from alumni, parents and friends.
“We are proud to be recognized by our peers for our efforts on behalf of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ,” Perkins said. “This award acknowledges the outstanding support ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has received from people who share our values and are committed to the university’s student-centered approach to engaged learning. It also recognizes the hard work and dedication of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s outstanding development staff members, trustees, faculty and staff, and volunteers.”
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Institutional Advancement division includes 37 professionals and support staff working in the areas of individual giving, development, alumni relations, university relations and church relations. Fund raising is organized into offices responsible for major gifts, annual giving (ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Society, parent programs, phonathon), planned gifts, foundation/corporate relations, Phoenix Athletics, School of Law, donor relations, research, database management and gift records.
