Irene Harvley-Felder ’05 is featured as a North Carolina Poet of the Week on the North Carolina Arts Council’s Web site. Harvley-Felder, who earned a degree in English from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, is serving in the Peace Corps as an English teacher in the African nation of Namibia.

Her poetry has appeared in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s literary journal, Colonnades, and her poem “In Celebration of Death” will be published in an upcoming edition of Tar River Poetry. She was a finalist for Fourth Genre’s second-annual Editor’s Prize, as well as the 2005 fiction contest at N.C. State University.
