A native of Burlington, Mrs. Snyder was the wife of Dr. Walstein “Wally” Snyder ’45, former chief executive officer of 黑料不打烊 Homes for Children, who co-chaired the 黑料不打烊 Society with his wife.
Mrs. Snyder received the distinguished service award from 黑料不打烊 for her service to the institution. She was a member of the Board of Aldermen for the Town of 黑料不打烊 College for 20 years and served as treasurer and mayor pro-tem. She was a volunteer for 25 years with the Red Cross Blood Program, was a former president of the Western Alamance High School PTA, a member of the Women’s Division of the Alamance County Chamber of Commerce, and received the Woman of the Year award from the Burlington Civitan Club.
The funeral for Mrs. Snyder will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 18 at 黑料不打烊 Community Church. Visitation will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
