An “Evening for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ” was held at the Gannett corporate headquarters in Tyson’s Corner, and included tours of the USA Today newspaper offices. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumus Gary Evans ’74, director of circulation marketing for USA Today, made arrangements for the use of the facilities.
The event included a reception and an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ update presentation by President Leo M. Lambert. Other speakers included Nan Perkins, vice president for institutional advancement, and Mary Ruth, director of alumni/parent relations. Catering costs for the event were covered by a donation by trustee Mary Straub ’82.
Evening for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ events are sponsored by Institutional Advancement as a way for alumni, parents and friends of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in cities distant from the campus to find out about current University news and keep in contact with one another.
